Wales-based duo Josh Doughty (kora) and Tim Short (guitar) were introduced to each other by world-famous Ngoni player Bassekou Kouyaté at the festival du Niger in Segou, Mali, back in 2007.

Widely recognised as one of the greatest non-African kora players, Josh was introduced to the kora at the age of 14 when he was mentored by revered Malian kora maestro Toumani Diabaté who continues to take a keen role in his development. Josh is in demand for his teaching skills, and also played on Sampha's 2017 Mecury award-winning album "Process". Multi-instrumentalist Tim has toured and recorded for over 30 years, playing with The Waterboys, Afro Cluster, Matuki and Joe Driscoll and Seckou.    Through their music, they pay their respects to the great Mandinka traditions of West Africa alongside new compositions of their own and have appeared at a number of UK festivals including WOMAD, Shambala, Boomtown, Kaya and Llangollen Fringe.     This concert is a communion between musicians and listeners in ancient and sacred spaces that have been devoted to peace, mediation and harmony for centuries; Kora and guitar music that will inspire and beguile you in some of Wales' most beautiful places of worship.  £12 (£10)
