Born-again Christian Lewis and arch-rationalist Freud debate the existence of God in a civilised argument which – as Freud points out – would be even more futile by not having it. As Freud asks why God would allow such pain in the world, Lewis suggests that the aim is to perfect us through suffering. Thought-provoking, enlightening and blessed with some fine acting.
